Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced UK Equity Analyst to join this Global Financial Services orgainisation within their City offices.
The team consists of 3 UK based Analysts with the support of 10 Global sector analysts who are based in the company headquarters.
The team produces mainly secondary research on circa 130 stocks derived from the FTSE 350.With a remit of producing research material on UK Equities for the use of clients, private bankers and portfolio managers both in the UK and overseas.
Role specific responsibilities will include:
Research, prepare and write quality independent and value enhancing secondary research recommendations identifying investment opportunities.
Present, disseminate, actively discuss and explain recommendations to portfolio managers, private bankers, sector coordinators and clients.
Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the business models and industry dynamics of the sectors under coverage as well as analytical techniques required to interpret them in order to ensure the quality and accuracy of recommendations.
Build and nurture relationships with buy and sell side analysts, brokers and the management of companies under coverage in order to maximise the stream of relevant information.
Give input to Head of UK Equities and Global Sector Coordinators regarding sectors in order to produce UK sector strategy.
Prospective candidates should have relevant experience within the UK equity analysis environment, be of degree calibre and have observed CPD through the successful attainment of industry specific qualifications (advancement with the CFA is advantageous but not essential).
Additionally FSA authorization of CF30 (previously CF21) should have been achieved.
The salary range associated with this role will be £55,000 to £65,000 with an extensive range of employee benefits (details available on request)
