Job Description

We currently seek an expert in derivatives to work as a consultant with regard to the implentation of software into Treasury and Capital Markets with a risk focus. The right candidate will have a quantative background e.g. degree - Maths, Physics, engineering or finance and have extensive experience in the financial industry probably working for a large corporate, financial institution, software vendor or consulting practive. You will have spent a substantial amount of time on applied derivative and underlying product experience in either capital markets, treasury, corporate control, banking or for a software vendor. You will have experience in delivering presentations and skills around business processes and solutions around the use of derivatives and relevant software solutions. The right person will have experience interfacing with advisory bodies and firms shping derivative practices and have some experience of project work. Experience of the accounting treatment of financial instruments e.g. IAS39, IAS 39/ IFRS 7/ FAS 133 and FAS 157 / FAS 159 would be highly desirable. Suitable background would include major financial instituions and vendors such as: Sungard, Numerix, Misys, Algorithmics, riskmetrics, Murex, Fermat, sophis, super derivatives, FRS Global, Moody's, Calypso.
