Job Description
A prominent international investment bank, specialising in Euro capital markets, derivative products and structured finance, requires an equity derivatives control manager to be based in their offices in London.
The firm is committed to improving the monitoring of its activities. A global program has been launched in order to review, improve and strengthen the current controls surrounding the bank's market activities.
Your responsibilities will focus on the resolution of issues and subsequent follow-ups with front and middle office. Any alert raised by the control department needs to be followed, acknowledged and answered to. You will be responsible for raising alerts to management, as well as the centralisation of the controls performed throughout the middle office.
The role demands a good team player and someone who is flexible in their approach to day to day tasks. It requires someone able to set up new processes, new procedures and build the activity from scratch, someone able to think outside the box and comfortable with a high level of autonomy.
Equity settlement experience or a demonstrated understanding of the equity settlement process is essential, and ideally the candidate will have a control/audit background as well as knowledge / experience of a dealing floor environment.
