Who they are
This client is a leading Investment Bank whose current strategy is to grow the business further by expanding the product coverage to include a wider array of exotic structured products.
The role
Product Control is part of the wider Finance function and is primarily responsible for daily P&L production; analytical review; cash and PV reconciliations and month end accounting responsibility. The position will report to Manager of Derivatives Accounting Control. This is a hands-on' position covering daily and month-end accounting and balance sheet control processes. This challenging role would be ideally suited to an experienced accountant with a sound knowledge of the controls necessary to support a fast moving business. Specifically this role will involve performance of daily monitoring and timely resolution of cash breaks to GL, daily reconciliation of reported P&L to GL and resolution of breaks between the two, month end journal preparation, file preparation, balance sheet reconciliation and month end balance sheet reporting and management information provision as required.

They are looking for a Passed finalist or Qualified Accountant who is innovative and can contribute to the implementation of the control infrastructure necessary to support a complex global derivatives business. Previous Practical Experience of derivatives and audit exposure to the Banking Industry is essential and excellent communication skills are mandatory. You will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and on multiple tasks simultaneously and must have a flexible approach to work and working hours.
