Job Description
Primary responsibilities of the Finance Manager
• Lloyds reporting - managing third party service provider to ensure reporting requirements are met. Review and supervise filings
• Preparing and reviewing the quarterly syndicate results on a US GAAP basis to be consolidated in the European operations and reported to Arch Capital Group Limited.
• Arch Lloyds statutory reporting and work with the auditors.
• Manage Tax Returns for Arch Lloyds and Arch Managing Agency
• Ensure SOX compliance of the syndicate and managing agency
• Manage other team members
• FSA Returns annually
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Accountant
• Training with a reputable accounting firm (Big 4 or Mazars preferred)
• Insurance experience is essential.
• Lloyd's experience preferred, but not essential
• Use of accounting systems i.e. Great Plains, FRX reporting
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Qualities required
• Numerate
• Accuracy
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ability to prioritise
• Good communication skills
