Our client is one of the leading specialist security companies in London/Home Counties and the UK. They offer a comprehensive installation and maintenance service for stand alone and integrated security systems as well as integrated reception systems in the commercial residential and the business property market. An opportunity has now arisen for a Credit Controller to join their team.

This is the ideal role for a confident, assertive and highly motivated candidate with a proven track record gained within a credit control environment, looking to further their career within one of the leading security companies in London.

As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for actively pursuing the recovery of all outstanding debts across a large portfolio of clients.

Reporting to the credit control manager, you will be tasked with collecting outstanding debts via email, telephone, fax and letter. Liaising with personnel at all levels, up to and including director level, you will issue monthly statements in addition to credit checking all potential customers.

Your other duties will include:

- Co-ordinating the daily banking routine, including banking cheques and cash
- Liaising with department managers regarding outstanding debts
- Attending meetings to discuss debts and issue actions
- Recommending improvements to processes and procedures

To be considered for this position, you must have proven credit control experience. A good level of computer literacy is key, as are excellent communication and negotiating skills.

As a Credit Controller you must have strong organisational skills and the ability to work within a team. You should also be able to develop good working relationships.

Although not essential, an understanding of debt collecting agencies would be advantageous to your application.
