Job Description

Senior Credit Control Job, based in London- City
Languages: Fluent in written and verbal English, Spanish and French
 
My client, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of a specific technology is looking for a senior credit controller to run the credit control function from the European Headquarters in London.
You will join a wider global team of 12 Credit Controllers, all based in the world headquarters in Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern, U.S. This rapidly expanding company also has European offices based in Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, Germany and Paris, and Asian offices based in Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.

In addition to setting up all the systems and processes for the European head office, major tasks of position include:

- Ensuring payments are received according to terms  - chasing collections, by phone, email and letter
- Responsibility for the full ledger of approx 700 live accounts, including 50 top accounts
- Set and monitor targets for receivables and DSO to ensure they are achieved
- To reconcile a potentially high volume of debit notes and ensure swift resolution of queries
- Monitor credit worthiness of customers to minimise the risk of bad debts
- Assess set credit limits, terms, evaluating further business engagement
- Develop database for credit information
- Build a good working relationship with both internal and external customers and to discuss ways of improving payment performance.  
To be considered for this role you must be fluent in English, Spanish and French (to a business level) .

You will also have substantial experience in:

- Risk assessment
- Credit worthiness analysis :  interpretation and evaluation of financial statements, credit score reports
- Dealing with international letters of credit
- Credit collection
- Instigating legal proceedings
- Dispute management

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

- Ideally ICM qualified or studying towards an ICM Qualification
- ERP system process understanding and book-keeping skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- A working knowledge of JDE (and/or similar SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft) and Microsoft office suite- Word, Excel
- An organised and disciplined approach and the ability to work under
pressure.
