Job Description
The role will include the following duties:
The assessment of creditworthiness of existing and new borrowers, including specific risks associated with a full range of private / corporate banking products and structures - covering a broad range of sectors including private individuals, small and medium sized trading businesses, property lending and large corporates;
Providing day-to-day support to our team of very experienced Branch and Account Managers, assisting them with due diligence / pre credit proposal preparation and to subsequently appraise completed lending propositions to ensure a high quality of preparation and presentation;
Maintaining the integrity and direction of the Bank's credit and policy requirements through ongoing and regular dialogue with the Branches and written communication channels including inter alia, Instructions Britain;
provide guidance, support and training on the Banks data applications and credit related documentation including LIMA, RAKT etc
There will be ample opportunity to further your development within the Credit Department and if desired, such intensive exposure to a broad based credit analysis can be readily applied to a potential career in our expanding and successful Branch network.

The successful candidate will need exceptional credit / analytical skills gained from a prolonged period within a corporate credit sanctioning department (minimum 3 years) ideally from a UK clearing bank
A sound knowledge of the UK banking environment is required.
Applicants should be used to working in a deadline driven environment and have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
