Job Description

Due to a recent promotion, my client, one of Europe's leading, award winning architectural and engineering practices, is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join the Finance Team.

If successful, you will be a part of the wider finance team responsible for administering and managing the fiscal activity for the London Office, accounting for cash transactions in excess of £50m per annum. This includes an exciting combination of both Credit Control and Project Accounting tasks.

Reporting to the Finance Director; your daily responsibilities will include:

Credit Control:
·Liaising with the 50 plus Project Directors and Managers to understand the nature of the projects and debts.
·Chase outstanding invoices by phone, email, letter and fax
·Investigate and when not of a technical nature, resolve, disputed invoices.
·Maintain a comprehensive computer based record of client contacts and credit control actions undertaken.
·Assist in the cash against invoice allocation process
·Keep Project Directors informed of cash receipts on a daily basis.
·Produce, in conjunction with the Finance Director, monthly forecasts of expected cash receipts.
·Maintain a summary of Actual v Budget and Forecast cash receipts. Analyse and report on variances.
·Liaise with Project and Finance Director on progress associated with long outstanding debts.

Project Accounting:
·Assisting with monitoring project performance - fees, costs and profitability
·Inputting fee and cost information to the costing system
·Invoice clients for fees and expenses in accordance with the fee agreements
·Assisting with yearly and half yearly office budgets

To be considered for this role you will have a proven successful background in credit control- ideally within professional services. In addition to this you must be a creative problem solver who is results focused and have an exceptional attention to detail.
