Job Description
Due to continued growth my client is looking to recruit an experienced European Credit Controller to join their team. The majority of the Credit team including the Senior Director of World Wide Credit are based overseas therefore this position is very much a stand alone role.
The successful applicant will have fully responsibility for their own portfolio of accounts and will be required to work independently.
Key duties in this role include;
- To analyse data obtained from company accounts, bank and trade references, then use this information to agree and set credit limits
- Prepare recommendations and make Credit approval decisions on all new accounts
- To collect, manage and provide resolutions regarding overdue invoices
- Prepare analysis of past due accounts and provide on-going risk assessments of all lives accounts
- Making all decisions relating to hold accounts and the releasing of orders to customers who may have exceeded their credit limits
- Working closely with the sales team to minimise risk to the business and to resolve debt issues that could result is loss of sales
- Preparing monthly cash forecasting on accounts
- Reconciling and resolving customers queries that may delay payment
- Visiting key customers to build strong working relationships
