Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Relationship Manager, to work as part of a team managing/developing relationships with financial institutions across Spain & Portugal. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing a designated portfolio of customers and marketing the full range of products and services in order to achieve an acceptable level of profit, risk and return in line with agreed business plans.

Core responsibilities include the following:

·Manage a designated portfolio of customer relationships in order to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way meeting Group credit and profitability requirements and represent the Group in dealing with domestic and international customers, trade bodies, etc.
·Prepare and monitor business plans for the portfolio in order to meet customer profitability requirements and business objectives
·Review customer proposals in order to best meet Group and customer requirements and identify opportunities to develop further income and economic profit, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions
·Negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and services after consulting with all relevant parties and prepare proposals in order to seek approval for global credit exposure
·Monitor utilisation of facilities, dealing with excesses within the jobholder's discretion, reporting other excess situations as appropriate in order to manage away unacceptable risk
·Prepare and present responses to Requests for Proposal for new and existing business, liaising with other specialist providers as appropriate in order to maximise the potential for overall business returns
·Create and develop business leads and introductions in order to maximise business growth for the Group

Skills and experience required:

·Languages - Spain / Portuguese - useful but not essential
·Previous experience in managing a portfolio of Corporate or Institutional customers
·Flexibility to travel overseas
·Oral & written communication, interviewing, presentation & facilitation, organisation & environmental awareness and procedural/product/specialist knowledge
