Job Description

A leading independent Corporate Finance Advisory firm active throughout Europe has an outstanding position for a Corporate Finance Restructuring Associate. Having over 90 professionals, across a multi-lingual team, they operate from offices in London and Paris and cater to a global client base to transact throughout Europe - particularly the UK, France and Germany. Main Tasks: Conducting analysis of distressed company commercial, financial and liquidity position on the basis of internal company information whether from perspective of debtor or creditor advisory role. Identifying key issues arising from this analysis In the case of debtor advisory, assisting in development of restructuring strategy and providing advice to Board in terms of priorities for maintaining sufficient liquidity, enhancing stakeholder value and maintaining control of the restructuring process. Assisting in the execution of distressed M&A including construction of an appropriate sales strategy, identification of potential buyers, production of a selling memorandum, management of information dissemination, conducting negotiations with potential purchasers and maintaining control of the overall sales process. Qualifications: Ideally qualified ACA (first time passes), minimum 2.1 degree, strong A-level passes. Candidates who have a professional legal qualification, together with strong academic record, relevant experience and strong numerical aptitude, may also be considered. Key Skills/Experience Required: Restructuring experience: likely to have 1 - 3 years` post qualifying experience ideally gained in an accountancy firm where a combination of experience has been received in formal insolvency, reporting accountant roles and corporate recovery advice to companies. Strong Quantitative skills: including intuitive ability to identify key numbers in financial information, ability to efficiently model financial data and attention to detail. Good Interpersonal skills: needed for working with distressed companies to extract information from middle management and secure confidence of senior management. Also required for negotiations around direction to be taken and in zero sum negotiations with debtors and creditors. Demonstrates the aptitudes required to develop within general corporate finance advisory including commercial acumen and creativity.
