Our client is responsible for the development and promotion of Irish businesses. They work with world-class Irish companies, helping them to grow. An opportunity has now arisen for a Business Consultant to join their Covent Garden based team on a 3 year contract basis.

This role would suit a highly motivated and ambitious business person, with fund management experience and a sales and marketing background. This is a wide reaching role that will have a significant impact on the growth of the Irish economy.

As a Business Consultant your focus will be on assisting Irish business to export their services to the UK.

You will be responsible for advising and implementing strategies for a portfolio of investment and fund management companies looking to grow within the UK market. You will also work with senior executives looking to start new financial services companies.

Additionally, you will play a central role in implementing initiatives across a range of industry sectors, including investment and fund management, insurance services, business process outsourcing and managed services.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- excellent business expertise, gained within the sales and marketing sector
- fund management experience and a background of working with SMEs
- a strong knowledge of the UK financial services industry

As a Business Consultant, you must be an excellent communicator and able to demonstrate your ability to work on your own initiative. A good track record of achieving positive results is also key.

The ideal candidate will have established network of business contacts within the London financial services sector but this is not essential. Experience of working in the European market would be an advantage as would experience of setting up your own business or working for a start-up company. A proven commercial background would also be beneficial.
