Job Description

Purpose:

To provide telephony based generic advice within the IFS Direct remits.

To achieve and exceed individual sales targets by providing suitable products and generic advice when necessary, ensuring achievement of regulatory and company compliance standards

To develop value added and sustainable relationship with key contacts within the group to ensure high quality of business is retained and improved

To identify and provide leads to our Independent Financial Planning Managers to maximise business through other options that fall outside of IFS Direct Telephony.

To promote IFS Direct through a positive attitude to the job role, being customer focused and providing a quality service.

Undertake activities covered by the IFS Direct Training & Competency (T&C) scheme as reasonably required by the business.





Deliverables:

Criteria/results by which success can be measured

 

Respond promptly to leads via Telephone, Fax and E-Mail.

Receive and make customer phone calls, with the aim of ensuring customer satisfaction and making sales in the product range covered by IFS Direct.

Use IFA knowledge and skills during the sales process, to analyse information, prepare recommendations and provide generic advice if required. 

Ensure that rapport is established with clients to encourage formation of long term value added relationships.

Monitor sales progress against individual objectives and, where appropriate, plan and implement improvement activities

Develop excellent relationships within IFS Direct and appropriate group staff in order to create future lead opportunities and promote the image of IFS Direct. This may include the coaching of existing and potentially new lead providers.

Ensure all documentation relating to the sales process is completed fully and accurately, working toward and if possible exceeding the IFS Direct accuracy ratio as per the IFS Direct T&C scheme requirements.

Ensure internal service standards are met as per the IFS Direct T&C scheme requirements.

Work to achieve the conversion rates from lead to proposal, as required by the business.

Continually develop skills, knowledge and behaviours to improve level of performance.

Retain accurate records of customer contacts and sales in order to provide team management information.

Retain generic authorisation status in the required areas required by the business, by satisfying internal testing procedures and T&C requirements.

Maintain, record and update Management Information records as required by the business, in order that Service Level Agreements can be monitored at all times.



Experience:

 

Minimum 3 years relevant experience.

Fully FPC qualified

Knowledge of Personal Protection, Pensions & Investment Markets (as required by the business).

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work co operatively with a team.

Computer literate

Ability to prioritise your work and act on own initiative.

A good working understanding of regulatory requirements and financial markets.

Good planning and organisational skills.

Driven by personal motivation and ambition to succeed.
