Job Description
Trade Compliance Manager job, multiple locations around West Europe. Reporting to the Manager, EMEA Transportation & Trade Compliance you will be responsible to oversee all trade compliance matters for all shipments in & out of locations in UK, France, Spain and the Netherlands. You will support the business on day-to-day inquiries on trade compliance matters from Customer Service, Purchasing, and External parties (carriers/brokers, internal customers) of this Fortune 200 company. Another key responsibility will be to design and set formal procedure for customs clearance and export requirements for ISO standards, and audited as to compliance internally and externally.
There will be other responsibilities such as managing the Dock team on the tactical operation of customs clearance and export docs and work in conjunction with other trade compliance members to implement and drive best practices on trade compliance matters. You will also manage the correct application of duty rates and applicable refunds, including duty recovery for re-classified items and products exported out of EU. You will also be responsible for the management of a Customs Specialist/Supervisor and their respective job responsibilities.
Requirements:
1) University degree, preferable on the area of Business Administration, Engineering, Legal, Supply Chain or related field.
2) At least five years of work experience on trade compliance area, preferably experience in working with the Dutch agencies.
3) Knowledge of trade compliance practices and procedures.
4) Must be fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken).
