Leading International Investment Bank is currently seeking a Compliance Analyst on  a 6 month contract.  

Role: 

To assist the Compliance and Deputy Compliance Officer in providing a comprehensive compliance function within London Corporates and Markets. 

Responsibilities:  

·            Implementation and maintenance of the Compliance monitoring program·

            Daily monitoring specific deals/transactions

·            Regular monitoring of the various business areas in line with Compliance Monitoring Program

·            Liaison with front office staff with regard to their trading activity as required.

·            Investigation of issues highlighted by the monitoring program and preparation of Compliance monitoring reports for review and sign-off by Compliance     Officer/Deputy.

·            Review and update Compliance monitoring processes and procedures.

·            Provide cover for Compliance team members in various areas ·            Assist with conflict interest checks, maintenance of the Restricted List/Watch List database and, when required, disseminate Compliance notifications.

·            Administration of regulatory training to staff, including undertaking presentations.

·            Ad hoc projects as required  

Experience Required: 

·         Good experience within a Compliance department is essential.  

·         Sound understanding of the UK's regulatory environment with previous responsibility for Compliance monitoring within a financial services company

.·         Higher education/degree qualified

·         Good banking product knowledge and any regulatory/financial training and/or qualification – desirable

·         Well organised and good at prioritising workload.

·         Ability to understand issues (often complex financial structures) and apply regulatory principles in a relevant and logical manner

·         IT skills - Word, Excel, Access

·         Attention to detail - will be completing regulatory documentation, database input etc where accuracy is essential.

·         Confidence at dealing with all levels of seniority within the bank. 

Salary:
