Job Description
This leading Commodities Clearing House is looking for an experienced Commodities Operations Analyst to join its London offices.
As Operations Analyst your main responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of clearing processes which will involve day-to-day communication with member firms. You will be involved with processes connected to the life-cycle of a transaction, from receipt to completion, and will assist with the processes relating to physical delivery of products which underlie futures contracts.
Main Responsibilities will include:
Monitoring the effectiveness of the margin call process.
Effectively dealing with any default or late payment.
Monitoring positions management and ensuring that systems run smoothly.
Dealing with members queries.
Working with members of the process improvement teams.
Supporting the development of the business and fully evaluating the implications of new business.
Supporting the Head of Operations in defining and developing the operations model and the ethos for the clearing house.
Skills/experience:
Relevant experience from an Investment Bank, Commodity Deliveries or Treasury environment is essential
Demonstrated LME clearing experience
Experience of TRS/CPS would prove extremely advantageous
Knowledge of delivery of contracts within a clearing environment
Good interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills
Education/Qualifications:
Educated to at least A' Level standard or equivalent education is desirable
You must be eligible to work in the UK.
