Job Description
An experienced Commodity Project Manager is being sought to join this leading Commodity Group's London offices.
As Commodity Project Manager you will manage new business initiatives, improving current operations. You will work with products including oil derivatives, gas & power, base and precious metals products.
Key Responsibilities include:
Managing projects initiated by Middle and Back Office; planning, following schedule and budget allocation, managing risk, holding stakeholders meetings and reporting to sponsors.
Developing business specifications (functionalities and workflows)
Liaising with IT teams in order to ensure correct translation of business specifications into technical solutions
Developing test plans and leading change management
Working with Operations and Middle Office to specify and develop new controls and procedures so as to reduce operational risk
Skills / Experience:
Demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst or Project Manager role
Commodity experience in Banking and/or Financial Services
Standard project management tools (MS Project/Excel) experience
Standard workflow mapping tools
Experience in cross-border projects involving multi-cultural teams
Full understanding of the Trade Life Cycle of vanilla and exotic instruments
Wide range knowledge of commodity products, including exotic derivatives (at least 2 of the following; oil derivatives, softs, gas & power, base metals or precious metals markets)
Strong communication (written & oral) skills
Educated to Degree-level (or equivalent) with a minimum of a 2:1, preferably from a Top Tier University.
You must be authorised to work in the UK.
