Job Description
A Commodities Middle Office Manager is being recruited to join the London Commodities Department of this successful Banking Group.
Reporting to the Head of Commodities Middle and Back Office, you will be managing two teams: Structured Product Support and Vanilla Product support.
Main responsibilities:
Ensuring the transactional integrity across trading applications used by the Commodities product line (Oil, Softs, Emissions, Metals, Power and Gas).
Validation of trade booking of all transactions traded by the Commodities desk. This will include correct booking; inter-system for Exotic and Vanilla products.
Act as a point of contact for the introduction of new products and ensure that procedures are in place to correctly book and manage these transactions.
Manage position control functions for the commodity desk. This will include trade details and hedge reconciliation; reconciling cash balances and monitoring MTM movements on new, modified, cancelled or expiring trades.
Ensure the controls and procedures are developed to support the business and reduce operational risk
Assist in the identification, specification and testing of system enhancements.
Manage the process to ensure option exercises are executed correctly
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of trade fixings.
Undertake staff appraisals of the team managers, set goals and manage their career development.
Participate in the budget preparation and execution, as well as any necessary recruitment.
Requirements:
Commodities Derivatives experience in a Middle Office role, where a high technical and analytical ability was demonstrated.
Proven managerial experience
Qualifications:
Educated to Degree-level (or equivalent)
You will need to be eligible to work in the UK
