Job Description
A leader in the European and International wholesale energy markets, trading across Power, Emissions, Gas, Coal, Freight and Oil is looking to hire a Risk Analyst to join what is already a very successful team.
This role will report to the Head of Market Risk and responsibilities will include: performing new structured deal analysis; assisting the marketing team analyse the VaR impact of structured transactions; further developing VaR, Car and stress testing models; developing options risk analysis; and providing cover for the daily reporting process.
The ideal candidate will have a background in risk management; possess a graduate qualification in a numerical / engineering degree; and have experience of VaR. Strong Excel, VBA and Access skills will be useful.
Experience in risk management including quantitative analysis responsibilities is essential as is knowledge of derivatives products and VaR. Commodities exposure would be an advantage.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong communicator with excellent analytical skills to join one of the largest Electricity and Gas Traders in Europe.
