Job Description
Commodity Trade Finance Clerk
£18 - 20
Temporary - 3 months minimum
London - City
Established and stable city bank is seeking an experienced commodities trade finance specialist.
This role exists due to increased volumes and the potential growth within the organisation.
Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring prompt and efficient preparation of all Trade Finance activity for processing within the daily deadlines whilst providing excellent customer service to all new and existing customers and beneficiaries.
Typical duties for this position will include
-Prepare Import/Export documents for checking and then send discrepancy notices/advice of
clean documents instructions to clients
-Ensure Middle Office have completed necessary limit checks on new drawdown notices for borrowing customers and prepare for input / remittance
-Prepare payment instructions (Inward & Outward) for processing
-Attend to and resolve customer enquiries & requests
-Processing of inward and outward documentary collections
-Nostro queries
Ideally the candidate will have 2 years experience within trade finance, working with Import & Export Letter's of Credit and strong fluency with (UCP 600, 500 & ISBP), Documentary Collections (URC 522) and familiarity with SWIFT messages.
