Job Description
Our client is a world leader in the supply and distribution of natural resources. An opportunity has arisen for an Auditor to join the Internal Audit team, reporting into the Head of Internal Audit. The position is based in London however the successful candidate will be expected to travel overseas extensively (up to 50%) as part of their role.
The internal audit function is part of the Group's combined risk, audit and finance department. The department oversees and manages the Group's financial, operational and market risk. The remit of the audit team includes all of the Group's businesses around the world and staff will be expected to gain a general understanding of how these markets and businesses operate. The geographical spread of the Group's businesses requires that staff commit to travel extensively.
Audits are risk focused, and will typically include a commercial assessment of the business risks, an assessment and testing of controls and a detailed balance sheet review. Conclusions and reports are agreed with local management at the time of the audit and staff will need confidence, diplomacy and excellent communication skills to agree detailed findings and actions with management at all levels of the organisation.
