Job Description

Investment Administration Director London Early Dec at latest Competitive Salary plus performance bonus and equity ownership Our client is a private family office that manages investments and trusts for wealthy families, providing both personal services and more traditional financial services such as investment management, disbursements to Beneficiaries, project management, entity management, accounting and payroll activities, and management of legal affairs. The Investment Administration Office will work with the Trust`s independent Investment Advisor in order to manage the process of providing recommendations to the Investment Committee. In addition, the Office will be responsible for managing the execution of investment decisions made by the relevant Board of Directors, and reporting on the ongoing performance of the investment portfolio by asset class. The long term goal of the Investment Administration Office is to develop its service offering, to include the provision of investment administration services to its wider client base, with the potential in the future to expand this further to offering investment advisory and asset management services within a regulated framework. Reporting to the Managing Director, the core responsibilities of the Investment Administration Director will include: ? Management of the Investment Administration function of the Family Office ? Responsible for the execution and booking of investment transactions as directed by the Directors of the Trust ? Management and co-ordination of internal processes and meetings of Investment Committees to ensure quality of presentations, clarity of decisions made and communication of outputs to ensure prompt responses ? Production of portfolio performance reports, to include both quantitative and qualitative reporting on monthly and quarterly basis ? Development of relationships with brokers and counterparties in order for the Family Office to act as an institutional investor, securing preferential pricing and rebates on investments ? Working with the Investment Advisor to assess potential investments and fund managers ? Development of independent market views, in order to be able to challenge potential investments proposed by the Investment Advisor ? Responsibility for the shaping, growth and leadership of the Investment Advisory / Asset Management arm of the group ? Development of capabilities within the Group to be able to provide investment advisory services to the highest level The ideal candidate will be ambitious with a desire to build a market-leading investment advisory practice and consequently previous experience in middle office of a Private Wealth Management group would be beneficial. You will have the ability to communicate to people from a variety of backgrounds, including the communication of complex investment and market ideas to non-investment professionals. Russian language would be an advantage however a second European language would be an alternative (though not mandatory). Experience of gaining FSA regulation would be advantageous.
