Job Description

Do you have a strong background in UK retail investments products and an interest in joining a growing business?

This challenging role would see you leading the development of the retail proposition strategy for a well known retail investment business. You would be responsible for leading the identification, research and development of market leading retail investment propositions for the retail market, pitching these ideas to the Investment and Sales teams, identifying opportunities for improving products and enhancing profitability, ongoing benchmarking of the business against competition in terms of channel efficiency, marketing and brand strategy, doing sales presentations and product training, as well as strong contribution to Management Committees and Boards, whilst working closely with the Sales, Marketing and Product teams. In addition to this you would also directly manage one other and act as a retail investment spokesperson within appropriate industry and national media.

To apply for this role you will need to have a extensive experience in the UK retail investment industry, experience of developing marketing messages and sales support material for retail equity and bond products in a retail investment house or life office, very good technical knowledge of open-ended fund structures, PEPs, ISAs and unit trusts and a very good understanding of the underlying investment management process. A relevant degree and the IMC would be a bonus. In terms of personality and soft skills must have a proven ability to present, be able to manage others, have "big picture" thinking, combined with team working skills and lots of drive. In terms of background could have worked within Product Development, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Distribution, Market Insight, or most likely a combination of more than one of the above.
