Job Description
Established over 40 years ago and with $300 billion under management, our award winning client is a major global force within the investment management industry. For the right individual, the opportunity now exists to join their fixed income team in the role of a Portfolio Management Analyst.
Working in a close knit, team based environment the role of a Portfolio Management Analyst is essential to the successful operation of the fixed income business in London and supports the activity of the traders and Portfolio Managers.
The specific duties within the role include:
-Cash Management, monitoring cash positions and cash flows
-Implementation of investment decisions. Generating orders across multiple funds for bonds, futures, CDS, Swaps, Swap overlays - taking into account cash, investment guidelines, benchmarks and fund sizes
-Instruct all FX trades; spot and currency hedges
-Portfolio rebalancing
-Produce a variety of reports including portfolio risk reports, fund breakdown, peer groups
-Monitoring portfolios and consistency of strategy across portfolios
-Assist with fund transitions and fund start-ups
-General support for queries
The role is offered on an ongoing temporary basis and is best suited to an individual with detailed knowledge of fixed income markets and products including an understanding of investment and execution processes. It is likely that you will have previously worked in a similar role for an investment manager and have already completed the IMC or CFA Level 1.
It is imperative that you have the ability to communicate successfully at all levels, can work to deadlines in a pressurised environment, have prior exposure to Bloomberg and have advanced skills with Excel (to at least macro level).
