Our client is an independent software company, pioneering online accounting since the launch of their award-winning service in 2007. They are also listed on the Telegraph high growth index for privately held UK firms. An opportunity has now arisen for a Systems Accountant to join their team.

This role would suit an ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualified accountant with experience of using bookkeeping and accounting software packages, looking to develop their career with a leading company.

As a Systems Accountant, you will be responsible for providing front-line support to customers, whilst working with the technical team to improve and develop the accounting engine.

You will be tasked with:

- Responding to customer queries
- Liaising with accountant partners and the technical team
- Product planning and pre-release testing cycles
- Designing and supporting the implementation of improvements to the accounting and tax engines

To be considered for the role of Systems Accountant, you must have:

- An ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualification, or be qualified by experience
- Experience of using various bookkeeping and accounting software packages
- Experience of working with small businesses

Our client also invites applications from exceptional AAT level candidates. Additionally, you must possess excellent spoken and written communication skills with the ability to explain accounting concepts to customers and the technical team.

Although not essential, an understanding, or experience of software development would be a distinct advantage to your application.
