Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant - Accountancy Practice
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Our client is an ambitious Top 20 Group of UK chartered accountants. An opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant to join the team.
This is an ideal role for an ambitious, part-qualified accountant with experience of working in a practice looking to obtain full qualifications with a large, well respected accountancy firm.
The Partners and staff in Nottingham provide a range of accounting, audit, taxation and management accountancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients. As well as SMEs (Small to Medium-sized Enterprises), they also look after the business concerns of very small entities such as sole-traders and partnerships as well as the affairs of some large businesses with much more complex, technical requirements.
As the Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant you will deal primarily with accounts preparation, management accounting, audit and taxation (Corporation Tax, PAYE, P11d etc).
To be considered for this position you must have experience of:
- working in an accountancy practice
- accounts preparation and management accounting
- taxation
Additionally, you will need to be motivated, have excellent communication skills and be IT literate.
The ideal Accounts Assistant / Semi-Senior Accountant will hold an AAT or be part qualified in ACA or ACCA, although this is not essential as our client will accept candidates qualified by experience. Experience of audit work would also be beneficial
