Finance Manager - Part/Fully Qualified ACA, ACCA, or QBE
London WC1
Up to £45,000 Plus Bonus, Health Insurance, Income Protection, STL, 25 Days' Holiday
Our clients are a set of barristers' chambers whose lawyers are recognised as market leaders in EU, competition, VAT and public and administrative law. They are now looking for a passionate and commercially engaged Finance Manager to head up chambers' finance function.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional with experience of working within an SME environment, to run a busy finance function and contribute to the growth of the business.
As the Finance Manager you will assume a sole-charge, bookkeeping and accounting role which will see you involved in day-to-day financial administration as well as commercial and business analysis.
You must be a self-starter who is keen to take responsibility and will relish both the high volume hands-on processing work as well as the preparation of accurate and timely financial information.
You will be responsible for the complete finance cycle, with tasks including:
- raising sales invoices
- processing purchase invoices and payments
- administering petty cash
- preparing bank reconciliations and VAT returns
- liaising with the payroll agency
- preparing yearly and monthly budget and cash-flow forecasts
- supporting budget holders
- preparing financial reports
- liaising with the Auditors
To be considered for this position, you must have experience in accountancy or finance positions, and a background working within an SME environment. You must also be part or fully qualified in ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experience (QBE).
Additionally, as the Finance Manager you should appreciate the need for approachability, pro-activity and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities for the smooth running of the business.
Excellent knowledge of Excel (Vlookup and Pivots) and Sage is also essential.
