Job Description

My client, a national rail specialist with offices throughout the UK, are currently seeking a highly commercial, operationally focused Financial Controller/Divisional FD. This is a challenging role which requires outstanding communication at all levels with both finance and non finance staff, you will act as a business partner between operations and group finance reporting on performance against budget with explanations on variances, you will also need to challenge budget holds on performance and drill down into the figures they report. In order to be successful in this role must be able to demonstrate experience in project management, matrix reporting, change management, cost reduction, commercial responsibility for major projects/contracts, and be able to think on your feet. You will be an ambitious, strategic thinker with drive, self motivation and a hunger for success.
