Job Description
My client leads the industry in its approach to a niche area within the FMCG sector. Working with the local community they supply major retailers from their family owned and run company deep in the heart of Cumbria and The English Lake District. The business has grown rapidly to a turnover of circa £15m and continues to grow. This recent impressive growth and ongoing development plans has led to the need to recruit a talented individual to the role of Managing Director. Ensuring provisions are in place to facilitate this and further growth The successful candidate will have a proven track record of achievement in food manufacturing environment and an in-depth knowledge of both production and sales. With demonstrable experience of negotiating with retailers, they will ideally also have an understanding of how individual farmers operate and be comfortable liaising at all levels. Operating in this family run business you will understand and implement large company best practice, taking the business through the next stage of development.
