Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant / Accountancy Account Manager ACA or ACCA

£26,000 £28,000 Plus Travel Expenses, After 1 Year: Pension and Medical Insurance
As the longest established umbrella company in the UK, our client is reputable for providing bookkeeping services for contractors. An opportunity has now arisen for an Accountant / Accountancy Account Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal position for a qualified or part qualified Accountant with experience of dealing with a large number of clients. For the right person, this role offers ample scope for career progression, which may include moving towards an SME Business Manager position.
In this role you will join the Tax and Accountancy department that offers a range of services including bookkeeping, payroll and vat returns. As the Accountant / Accountancy Account Manager you will be responsible for looking after the accounts of a large number of clients. Some travel to client sites may be required.
Your main duties will include:
- preparing and finalising accounts to trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheets
- preparing year-end accounts
- advising clients on basic tax efficiency measures
- completing P14/P60, P35, P11D and any other personal tax forms
- preparing management accounts and financial plans
To succeed as the Accountant / Accountancy Account Manager you will be a qualified or part qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with extensive experience in a similar role where you have dealt with a large number of clients. You must also be capable of developing additional revenue and services from an existing and new client base.
Additionally, you must have excellent communication skills, experience of preparing Vat, Corporation and Personal Tax returns, and proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Sage (or a similar accounting package).
