Assistant Accountant / Account Manager Assistant ACA or ACCA

£20,000 - £22,000
As the longest established umbrella company in the UK, our client is reputable for providing bookkeeping services for contractors. An opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Accountant / Account Manager Assistant to join their team.
This is the ideal position for someone who is ACA or ACCA qualified, or working towards qualification. As an Assistant Accountant / Account Manager Assistant you will join the Tax and Accountancy department that offers a range of services including bookkeeping, payroll and vat returns. Your role will involve assisting with a range of accountancy duties for a large number of clients.
Your duties will include:
- preparing self-assessment tax returns and VAT returns
- running payroll and preparing year end accounts
- preparing and finalising accounts to trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheets
- completing P14/P60, P35, P11D and any personal tax forms
To succeed as the Assistant Accountant / Account Manager Assistant you will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or working towards the qualification), and you will have solid experience in a similar position. You will also need to be a proficient user of Word, Excel and Outlook, and possess a motivated and professional approach.
The ideal candidate will also have experience using Sage Payroll and preferably SAPA or a similar programme. It is not essential for candidates to have completed self-assessment returns or VAT returns; however in this instance candidates must be familiar with SAPA.
