Job Description
Consequently, there is an opportunity for a candidate to take on the role of Purchase Ledger Supervisor in the Finance Department with the following remit:
- To build and develop a specialist payments and purchase ledger team to service all the group companies.
- To work with the financial controller and accounting managers to develop and put in place a purchase ledger management strategy.
- To standardise and improve purchase ledger and payments processes and controls.
- o take on responsibility for authorisation and review of payments and purchase ledger issues as well as office supervisor for the finance department. Initially the role will not have any direct staff reports. After an initial training and development period, up to 2 staff will then report directly to the role, creating a purchase ledger and payments team.

Skills:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Substantial previous and varied purchase ledger experience. Previous experience of supervising staff and/or being involved in significantly developing and improving teams, processes and systems would be highly beneficial.
- A confident and calm manner with the ability to communicate well to varying internal and external contacts.
- A strong understanding of the commercial nature of purchase ledger issues and hence the ability to make sound judgements on how to resolve varying purchase ledger issues.
- A willingness to try new ideas and learn new skills.
