Job Description
Opportunity to work for a large and well-established organisation has arisen for a Assistant Management Accountant in Wimbledon area. The role will give the opportunity to a CIMA or ACCA studier to get better exposure to accounts and grow within the department.
The ideal candidate will have a similar background in revenue accounting and posses strong communication skills to liaise with finance and non-finance people. If you live in the local Wimbledon area that would be ideal but not a pre requisite
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the preparation and critical analysis of monthly management accounts for revenues
- Oversee and assist revenue co-ordinator to ensure that all revenues are correctly recorded.
- Review and improve as necessary all procedures and internal controls relating to revenues (including membership and exchange database related issues)
- Monthly reconciliation of various revenue related balance sheet control accounts
- Process journal entries to enable system-generated revenue flash figures to be produced
Analyse weekly revenue flash reports
- Review and take corrective actions on various activity reports generated through membership and exchange database (AS400) system
- Monitor and maintain developer prepayments logging system through the accounting system
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and government statistical. Returns for review by Revenue Manager
- Prepare and Review aged debtor analysis.
