Job Description
A company located in Eashing next to Godalming are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join an exciting team and assist in many areas of accounts. You will need some accounts experience but will be assisted to develop into accounts. A really nice 2nd role. For the right candidate there will be an offer of study support. You will need to be a driver.
The role will include:
- Weekly Flash - completion on a Monday morning of weekly flash report for company Directors and Diploma plc.
- Control Accounts - maintaining on a weekly basis excel balance sheet reconciliations in order to provide an up to date view of balance sheet entries.
- Bank reconciliations - Completing Hawco bank reconciliations on a weekly basis and making any adjustments required. On a monthly basis complete all other bank recs including currency accounts in line with monthly deadlines.
- Revaluations - Completing revaluations of Debtor / Creditor accounts and currency bank accounts and report exchange difference to Finance Manager for review.
- Fixed Asset Register - to monitor and maintain Hawco Group fixed asset register to include updating as and when asset bought or sold.
- EC Intrastats & EC Sales Lists - To be completed on a Monthly / Quarterly basis as required.
- Preparing cheques on a Thursday morning for banking. Downloading daily bank statements, posting and allocating all cash to customer accounts on a weekly basis.
- On going support throughout the team wherever required this will include Purchase Ledger and Credit Control duties were necessary. Monitoring progression of workload to ensure month end deadlines are adhered to within the group. Please send in your applications ASAP.
