Corporate Tax Manager: Career opportunity based in Nottingham.
Sitting within the Business Tax Advisory group of this Big 4 Firm, the R&D (Research & Development) tax team is a highly successful team of tax and industry specialists who work on variety of very high profile clients (FTSE 100 and 250 multinational companies). They are growing from strength to strength in this new and exciting field of tax that was introduced by the government to encourage UK companies to invest in innovation in 2000. This offers an exciting opportunity for motivated tax and accounting professionals.
The team are looking for experienced and enthusiastic individuals to be part of a growing and dynamic National practice. This provides a unique opportunity to specialise in a specific tax discipline and to gain exposure to a wide variety of industries. This is a growing market and has the potential to offer progression and development opportunities for the right individual.
Your main responsibility will be to work very closely with client's, leveraging from your corporate tax knowledge, you will be responsible for delivery of R&D tax claims for clients in wide cross section of industry sectors.

Skills:
- Ideally ACA, ACCA, CA or CTA qualified
- Desire to specialise in new cutting-edge team
- Strong UK corporate tax experience
- R & D tax - technical knowledge from the US, UK, Canada or Australia (would be an asset)
- Cost accounting and financial accounting abilities
- Excellent excel spreadsheet abilities including pivot tables and data cleansing
- Enjoys problem solving in terms of system process and the creative thinking in tax legislation
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- The ability to work in a team based environment
- Flexible approach and committed team player
- Ideally suited to candidates with a professional services background (Big 4 or mid tier) or from industry.
- Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to understand clients needs and deliver quality outputs to clients
- Excellent business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work. Proven success in developing significant client relationships
