Job Description

A unique opportunity to join a major international group at an executive level and play a pivotal role in recruiting a UK tax team to work around you. The post will assume responsibility for all taxes in the UK and will report directly to the UK CFO. The role will initially focus on recruiting a UK tax department from scratch and designing and implementing a tax strategy for the UK business. Given that the position will cover all taxes it is anticipated that the successful applicant will already be working in commerce and seeking the opportunity to play on a bigger stage. Technically proficient, candidates will need to possess exceptional interpersonal skills and the innate ability to raise the profile of tax within the business whilst also making an impact on the bottom line. Equally, they will need a broad background in taxation and a deep understanding of UK taxes in an international commercial environment. This is a rare in-house opening which will provide an great platform for someone to build their own UK tax function.
