Job Description

My client, a leading Accountancy and Business Advisory firm is seeking a Part -Time Payroll Assistant to join Financial Administration Department in our Dublin office. This is an internal payroll function and the successful applicant will NOT be required to process client payrolls.

 





Assisting a full time payroll administrator you would be allowed decide the part-time hours you wish to work. The firm are keen to be as flexible as possible so the successful applicant will can work either five mornings/afternoons a week, or alternative choose 3 full time days.

Skills & Experience:



- Demonstrated 2 years experience in a payroll role

- Experience working with large payroll systems (megapay or other system) 

- Ability to work on own initiative

- Excellent organisational & follow through skills

- Sound knowledge of MS packages

- Strong team player

- Strong attention to detail and process

- Ability to follow up on unresolved issues in timely and efficient manner

- Ability to meet monthly deadlines

- Bookkeeping skills would be an advantage, though not essential  

 







Principal Duties & Responsibilities:



- Setting up new staff members on payroll & associated duties, e.g. P45/46, tax credits

- Administering leavers process, e.g. calculation of payment due, deductions of advances, P45 issuance etc 

- Pension administration

- VHI administration

- Issuance of internal communications re starters & leavers

- Bank reconciliations

- Reconciling control accounts

- Holiday cover for entire payroll function

- Any other payroll / tasks which may arise Other finance department bookkeeping & clerical duties
