Job Description
A new role has been created in this bluechip Corporate Reporting team who are responsible for the production and development of the UK financial and performance reporting to Group Finance and the UK Leadership Team. The Corporate Reporting Analyst will assist in producing this essential information in a timely and accurate manner.
The role provides an excellent commercial overview of the whole UK business and telecoms market, and the opportunity to work closely with the senior finance team. It will suit a candidate with an ability to pay attention to detail, but also summarise this detail into higher level reporting. It is based within the Central Finance team at UK in Slough.
Key accountabilities are:
- Assisting with the production and ongoing development of UK performance report containing analysis of month end results for UK Leadership Team and Finance Top Team;
- Preparing the monthly submission to Group Finance of key financial and customer metrics;
- Attend the month end close meetings to review the results and help with tracking issues and following up action points;
- Help liaise with the Commercial Finance teams to assist in producing month end outlook financials and KPIs on a weekly basis;
- Help deal with ad-hoc queries from Group Finance and the UK Leadership Team;
- Completion of monthly/quarterly National Statistics forms and review of Ofcom quarterly submission;
- Work closely with the Commercial Finance teams to ensure a good understanding of existing and forthcoming issues and impact on reported results; and
- Managing the reporting information in Cognos reporting databas
- Part qualified accountant.
- Ability to communicate financial results in a clear and informative style.
- Enthusiastic and confident individual.
- Good computer skills. Experience with Powerpoint, Excel and Word essential, Cognos (or equivalent reporting database) preferred.
