Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
· Maintenance and review of monthly financial ledgers and reporting of actual performance to head office via HFM (Hyperion Financial Managment), ensuring compliance with procedures and accurate production of accounts.
· Production of year end statutory accounts for review and sign off by the Finance Director.
· Completion of full year forecast in conjunction with senior management team, for submission to head office via HFM. Full year forecast to include fully detailed P&L, Balance Sheet and Working Capital Cash Flow.
· Preparation of annual budget, working closely with cost centre and profit centre managers. Full review of budgets with the senior management team and responsibility for timely and accurate submissions to head office via HFM.
· Working closely with the Financial Accountant to monitor cash flow to ensure that forecast working capital targets are met.
· Monitor and review outputs from the Cost Accountant to ensure that inventory valuations, gross margins and recoveries are calculated accurately and are fully understood.
· Oversee and manage the annual audit with the target of ensuring that there are no audit issues.
· Manage and develop Sarbanes Oxley reviews and implement controls and procedures as appropriate to ensure compliance.
· Development and implementation of KPIs and best practice to help ensure that the company achieves ACE qualification (ACE is UTCs Achieving Competitive Excellence program).
· Involvement in implementation and accounting for business improvement projects.
· Ad-hoc analysis as required.

Previous Experience, Employment and Knowledge
· Experience preferably gained in a manufacturing environment.
· An understanding of Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP would be beneficial but is not required.
· Advanced Excel skills are required. MS Access and Hyperion exposure would be beneficial.
