Job Description

Specific responsibilities include:

1.Coordinate the preparation of accurate forecasting, planning and budgets throughout the business

2.Undertake regular sales and variance analysis providing timely reporting to the operations team.

3.Monitor capital expenditure, prepare and evaluate viability of spending plans and report variances to budget.

4.Provide regular analysis and reporting in line with customer contractual requirements to include open book costing and over-rider payments.

5.Provide regular reporting and analysis on sales performance by customer and sector.

6.Play a lead role in working capital control, setting up and reviewing credit limits in collaboration with credit control.

7.Participate with and influence business managers to ensure informed and timely decisions are made and take an active role in project teams as necessary.

8.Ensure accurate and timely month end closure of accounts, resolving any queries and compiling necessary reports.

9.Provide financial support as necessary throughout the business

The Person

It is essential for the person to:

1. Be CIMA/ACCA finalist/qualified

2. Have worked within the manufacturing industry in the capacity of a Commercial Accountant

3. Have strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
