Job Description

This job is a newly created one and will include the following duties:
- Invoice preparation for accounts payable. Liaising with other departments within the business to resolve invoice and payment queries.
- Month end: preparing accounts for month end including accruals and journals.
- Maintaining a full yearly budget and assessing costs in relation to budget/forecast; producing cost schedules.
- Reconciliation of invoices.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and petty cash account.
- Initiating contract payments and ensuring tax and Inland Revenue payments are made correctly.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Weekly and monthly sales reporting

The team is based in fantastic offices in one of Londons premium locations, working as part of an extensive, lively and dynamic finance team.

The company is looking for a candidate with UK accounts experience including ledger and journal management, inter-company and foreign currency reconciliations, forecasting, balance sheet reconciling and reporting, VAT, and accruals and prepayments. Candidates must be IT literate with working knowledge of Excel and preferably SAP or Hyperion experience and be educated to degree level in a finance-related subject.
Applicants must be outstanding communicators with the ability to liaise with colleagues and clients at all levels. A good eye for detail and proven ability to meet deadlines are essential, as is the flexibility to take on ad-hoc tasks outside of routine work. A willingness and aptitude to learn are essential, as is the ability to work well as part of a lively and fast paced team.
