Job Description
A private hospital who specialise in the treatment of "serious and complex medical issues" is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to work closely with the tax manager to ensure compliance with tax legislation within the UK group, as well as working with the internal audit function on UK auditing and preparation of the statutory accounts. This is a unique opportunity for a varied role, providing excellent all round accounting experience.
Broadly, the role includes 3 principal responsibilities:
1.) Working with the tax manager on the collation and analysis of financial information for corporate tax, PAYE and VAT as well as preparation of statutory accounts tax disclosures.
2.) Preparation of the statutory accounts for all the companies in the group. The post holder will also be the principal liaison with the external auditors in matters relating to the statutory accounts.
3.) Working within the internal audit department conducting site audits and special assignments as required.
Requirements:
The successful candidate is likely to possess the following credentials:
- Degree calibre
- Part qualified accountant with passes in tax and audit
Skills required: Communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritising and organisational. This individual will have an attention for detail, be capable of working effectively to deadlines and be IT competent.
