Job Description

Job details: Senior Credit Controller
·         Chasing outstanding debts by telephone, letter and email
·         Attending meetings with customers to resolve queries
·         Investigation to resolve queries and problems on accounts
·         Authorising and releasing orders daily
·         Day to day overseeing of the other credit controllers (providing guidance and help as they are not   experienced)
·         Credit assessment and setting of credit limits
·         Liaising with branches and head office to resolve queries
·         Providing information and attending a weekly credit control meeting
·         Account reconciliations
·         Awareness of credit insurance
·         Aged debt reporting
·         Tighten and review of the credit procedures and recommending improvements
·         Preparing files for litigation
·         Monthly statement runs

This is a newly created position. The Assistant Accountant is currently spending far too much time dealing with credit control issues hence the need for this role.

Systems: Inhouse and Excel

Knowledge of the shipping/logistics industry would be an advantage

Hours / benefits
3 month probation period
Hours 9-5.30pm
