Job Profile
You will hold responsibility for supporting the growth and development of the South West and Wales regional underwriting team, and for managing and underwriting key accounts and business, making autonomous underwriting decisions within a pre agreed personal authority limit. This will include decisions on the acceptance and rating of complex risks, processing business through to policy issue, servicing existing business and supporting the regional underwriting team through the handling of referrals and technical training and mentoring. Key parts of the role and the development of broker relationships through outstanding service, underwriting expertise and regular visits to broker offices; this in turn will require significant development and new business activity.

Applicant Requirements
All applicants must be able to demonstrate high level knowledge and skills in underwriting medium to large, property and casualty based commercial business. You will have a new business trading focus, adept of understanding the needs of brokers and their clients and providing compliant solutions. You will also be able to demonstrate strong mentoring and leadership skills in an underwriting environment. A full UK driving license is essential.
