Job Description
Based in London, our client seeks a qualified accountant to join them as Finance Manager. This job is an outstanding opportunity for an accountant to work on the largest IT programme in the UK and one of the most exciting financial roles. We are recruiting an additional Finance Manager to work within a £multi-million systems integration programme. The key purpose of the role is to provide commercial accounting support and assistance to the Programme Managers across a variety of implementation projects, with initial focus on a National Government programme and associated projects. Responsibilities will include:
Reporting to the SFM to provide support on a range of financial duties including:
Business planning and forecasting
Monthly P&L reporting
Preparation of project budget pack for Senior Operational Management
Reconciliation of financial / management accounts
Following up queries and discrepancies
Liaison with other finance and project staff
Compile financial & analytical information for management.
Contribute to overall Financial Planning & Control process on Programme
With previous project / programme accounting experience, a creative dynamic can do personality and the tenacity to operate in a complex environment with conflicting priorities. The successful candidate will have the following:
