Job Description
The European business hub of one of the world's largest wholesale and investment banking institutions is currently looking to hire an experienced business auditor to join a team of high-quality audit professionals, conducting assignments across the EMEA business region.
You will act as "Auditor in Charge" on a variety of engagements, and be responsible for planning, organising, directing and controlling the overall audit effort on each assignment. Specifically these audit engagements will see you identify internal control and risk management weaknesses and exceptions in audits, making suitable recommendations to rectify such weaknesses, reporting on the follow-up of audit recommendations, including status reporting as necessary. This position will see you travel in Europe (maximum 20% of the time), and as such European Language skills would be beneficial, but not a pre-requisite.
The ideal candidate will possesses wide experience and knowledge of processes and controls over wholesale and investment banking activities including front, middle, back office environments. You will have experience of managing audits and managing more junior members of staff, and will possesses the necessary personal communication skills to be able to influence senior management.
