Job Description
You will be a CIMA / ACCA studier with experience of working within a similar role previously. You will be comfortable working in a deadline and fast paced environment.
Duties to include:
*Raise purchase orders and requests for new users for sign off by relevant managers.
*Manage purchase ledger queries from suppliers and head office in support of nominated sites.
*Raise cheque requisition forms for invoice payment.
*Monitor GRNI balances and deal with exceptions.
*Review all expense claim forms, obtain authorisation from Management Accountant and batch for onward processing.
*Support the production of weekly cost reports using relevant systems, review with site managers and investigate/explain variances.
*Assist in the recording of manpower hours and costs, ensuring hours paid are accurate and consistent with company rules and procedures.
*Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
*Assist in the month end process.
*Attend the period end Depot Financial Review and support the Depot Manager in explaining divergence from Budget/QFR as required.
*Assist in the Preparation of annual Budgets and Quarterly Financial Re-forecasting for allocated sites.
*Allocate a proportionate amount of time to visiting allocated depots to enable effective financial support and awareness of site issues
* Provide holiday/sickness/absence cover for the Management Accountant and if necessary across the business.

Person Specification:
A hands on approach to finance and administration
Ability to operate unsupervised and communicate appropriately
Motivated and professional
Energetic and enthusiastic
Highly numerate
High level of PC and system skills, particularly Excel
At least 12 months experience in a finance role
Ideally studying towards professional qualifications (CIMA or ACCA)
