Job Description
Based in North London our client seeks a qualified accountant to join them as Finance Controller. This job will lead the delivery of accurate and timely financial accounting and management information that will enable the business to make informed and accurate decisions about customers. The business is a Joint Venture which focuses on niche segments of the UK market and the plan is for significant growth. The successful candidate will be the key contact for the management team on all financial matters. A Degree Level education and professional qualifications are essential as is previous experience within either the Retail, Telecommunications or Financial Service sectors.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a strong working relationship with group finance.
- Own production of statutory accounts and field questions from external auditors.
- Prepare joint venture accounts in accordance with the JV agreement.
- Maintain an accurate business profit forecast.
- Provide visibility of future performance metrics to internal and relevant external stakeholders.
- Track projected performance against Minimum Purchase Requirements
- Ensure the annual budget for all areas is accurate, challenging and prepared in a timely manner.
- Monitor and challenge operating costs in order to improve performance and increase profitability.
- Ensure delivery of contact centre reporting to ensure cost to serve is in line with budget .
