Job Description
Insolvency Manager required for a Top 20 firm based in Guildford looking for an Insolvency manager who can supervise the corporate recovery process through from planning and budgeting to review and completion. Completion of bank driven investigations will also be a key factor. The role includes:
Case portfolio
- Ensure estates are efficiently and proactively progressed.
- Attend meetings with client/ work referrer.
- Liaison with appointee and other staff where appropriate to ensure all are kept up to date with relevant issues. Staff management and team-building
- Ensure staff are briefed and motivated in order to complete cases efficiently.
- Review staff work and comment constructively on their performance.
- Provide training to staff through on-the-job experience. Case work
- Day to day responsibility for trading situations.
- Ensure all staff work is reviewed.
- Ensure files are completed to a state suitable for JIMU review.
- Give staff feedback on their performance. Bank investigations
- Completion of IP form of record where solely responsible for an estate. Client liaison/ marketing
- Develop good relations with a portfolio of work referrers.
- Obtain information where required.
- Agree investigation dates with client.
- Attend finalisation meetings with clients.
- Identify opportunities where we may be able to provide further services.
- To assist the partner in ensuring that client needs are met and that the range of our services is extended. Where possible, the service- level expectations of our clients should be exceeded.
- Attend marketing events where required. Management of professionals
- Instruct and monitor the performance of solicitors and agents on each estate. Ensure that budgets are agreed and kept to. Report variances and discuss options with appointees. Technical
- Review statutory documents for compliance with Insolvency regulations and relevant standards.
- Ensure compliance with CRD standards and SIPs.
- Training of staff on the job and on courses. Liaison with partner
- Review/prepare case reviews and brief partner on work carried out and business issues.
